Diocese of Oklahoma Catechumenate Course

The Diocese is pleased to announce a Diocesan-wide Catechumenate Course beginning in January 2025.

The Catechumenate is an intentional time of teaching and learning about our faith in preparation to begin or renew our commitment to the Baptized Life. It is an ancient practice of the Church, as one of the earliest forms of Christian formation.

We are offering a diocesan-wide Catechumenate to re-center ourselves in discipleship and develop a mature articulation of our life in Christ.

The Catechumenate course combines online learning, community, and spiritual retreat to provide an opportunity for those in the course to learn, share, pray, worship, and grow in faith. Throughout the Catechumenate course, you will see how the Story of God is the framework for understanding our own stories.

Course presentations are led by a variety of lay and clergy leaders throughout the Diocese.

If you have any questions, are interested in scholarships, please reach out to Kate Bond or Canon Steve at the Diocesan Office, kbond@epiok.org or canonsteve@epiok.org.
